An Eclectic-Boho Black Tie Vintage Inspired Wedding on Jekyll Island.

Alanna and Patrick are the couple you instantly fall in love with, they never met a stranger and one things for sure, their soul mates, it’s inevitable. You can see it in the way they look at each other…just look at both of their eyes in the picture as Alanna walks down the aisle to Patrick. (They chose not to do a first look, so this moment for them was EXTRA SPECIAL for sure!) 

Alanna’s dress was intricately woven with horse hair and a two toned blushy-nude color with ivory…I was so honored to be able to be with her and her tribe the day she found this beautiful dress at Bleubelle Bridal! Her veil was cathedral length and incorporated the same embroidered delicate horse hair. STUNNING WAS AN UNDERSTATEMENT FOR SURE!

I describe Alanna wedding style as Black -Tie Eclectic- Boho Vintage Inspired because her dress was so very formal, but she liked a mixture of different vintage things, with that effortless boho look. One of my favorite pieces…and I think the guests loved it too, was a vintage type writer that we used for a guest book (you could tell which generation new how to use the type writer and which didn’t it what quite comical at types and you could see from the picture that some of the guests had to explain, ” You have to push the Return” in order to type.

Patrick, even learned how to bake a vegan cake and surprised his bride with her very own cake that day (not that they didn’t have an ” Official Wedding Cake,” or the fact that Cathy Huber can and does make amazing vegan cakes, but Patrick wanted this to be one of his thoughtful surprises!!! I think this has been one of the most thoughtful, heartwarming gifts in the history of all of the weddings I’ve done thus far. I was so impressed to learn this….I’ve cooked several vegan (dairy free, gluten free, wheat free meals myself and let me tell you it’s a challenge, and quite tedious for sure. Patrick…I’m sure you know this but you’ve set the bar high for sure!
