Did you know that prior to me opening up my business as a wedding + event designer and stylist, my previous career, I was Interior Designer? Design has always been a part of my life…and I love working with different elements and in different elements. If you are a creative entrepreneur or designer, I’m sure you can agree that working in different elements gives us inspiration for the next big design project or client we are working with.
Well, some dear friends of mine contacted me and asked me to design their Cottage Farmhouse Cabin (or that’s what I’m calling it!) I’ve been debating on sharing pictures of this for quite some time because I didn’t want to confuse my readers or followers if you will…but there’s something so freeing about just letting go and being 100% of who God made you to be and not trying to “fit the mold of who people expect you to be”…Wouldn’t you agree?!
The truth is, my love for designing interiors never quite went away, I think it was just put on pause and or God wanted to see me use it in another unique way, like in my wedding and event spaces! Understanding interior spaces is what makes me different in the wedding + events world and is the Unique selling point as to why brides or companies hire me.
Every element or space I design translates into another space or inspires me in another way. I’m excited to show you more about how my designs are translated from interior places to my wedding + event spaces.
The truth is, owning your own business is like a chameleon, you can change and adapt as your life changes and or as opportunities or doors are open.
What would you like to see more of on my blog? I’d love to know!
Fireplace Greenery: I used a combination of fresh cut magnolias, cotton and deer antlers since my clients are avid hunters and really enjoy more of a natural setting!
