So today, I’m reminiscing about this beautiful garden arch we designed….not only because it’s been one of my favorites, but its’ so hot here it reminds me of this exact day we were designing this wedding out in the scolding Summer heat.
The design concept for our client was Natural Garden. I wanted loose textures and decided to go with a deconstructive look.
To me, when you think of a natural garden, there are elements that are growing in a row, like perhaps roses, and then elements that just grow sporadic, called “volunteers”. (Volunteers are when seedlings just pop up randomly due to the wind or perhaps got carried away by a bird) No I’m not a plant nerd, I promise… Thank my father for being an agriculture major and “plant doctor” if you will.
No I’m not a plant doctor, but my dad was, so he taught me alot about how nature is supposed to look..it’s not supposed to be “fixey, fixey” but naturally beautifully, not in a straight line…just the way God created it.
