Congrats Amanda + Mustafa!
It was a dreary day at the Omni Club of Amelia Island with the weather, but Amanda and her sweet disposition and beauty that radiates from the inside and out, makes any dreary day turn bright!
I remember the first call I got from Amanda, it was an instant friendship. What I loved most about working with her was the fact that she trusted me fully and her only request was she wanted me to design her wedding was to work with The Omni Club of Amelia Island’s already given color palette. (Brilliant Idea!) So many brides try to design against the color palette and elements in the space that they have to work with.
Amanda chose a beautiful blush pink dress from Amsale. I wanted to do soft + more subtle against her gorgeous dress and do something with more of an impact but complimentary to her colors for the Reception at The Omni Club of Amelia Island.
In the Reception Area the already color palette I was working with were golds, taupe and navy. So what better than deeper wine tones and a pop of fusha that would already coordinate with the bride’s wedding dress color.
You’ll notice that since I chose a darker linen color, I went with a contrasting linen napkin to add a bit more color to the table…I call that a “2fer” (it acts as a napkin and decoration also)
Saving my favorite little design element last! To bring the ceilings down and make the space more intimate, I spray painted manzanita branches 14 karat gold and hung them from the light fixtures. Amanda Loved candles too, so I added hanging votives and orchids to set the tone for a more intimate and romantic dinner celebration.
