There’s nothing that makes me happier than a perfectly designed place setting! So here’s a little peak inside my home as I prep for Easter. (And yes, as you can tell I am a minimalist) Needless to say, although we moved into our home right at two years ago, a Designer’s home is never really completed?! (insert face with tongue out and cross-eyes) LOL!
I’ll also show you how just changing two elements on your table (like the centerpiece and charger) can change the entire look.
The perfect table scape, starts with the perfect linens! (thanks to our local rental supplier, Beachview Tent Rental)
Whether your decorating your home for the holidays or any events space, my rule of thumb is choose a linen that already compliments your surroundings. If you choose a linen that already compliments your space, then your look will be more cohesive. If the space is pretty neutral, well then your in luck…a multitude of different patterns, colors, textures, and prints will really work. Who says that renting linens are for weddings and events only? Why not consider renting linens from your local event supplier to make your table scape extra special this Easter holiday!
Linens I chose:
Main Table Linen: Renegade Silver + White Sheer
Napkin: Hemstitch
Coming up with a theme, helps you to direct your focus and execute precisely your overall vision!
My Theme: “My Bolden Easter” (Yes I know, I love making up words…Bolden = Bold, Gold, and Modern 😉
Every great tablescape has the perfect centerpiece! There’s really no right or wrong choice for this…Since the linens I chose, are like a piece of artwork itself with the bold pattern, I wanted to use a more simplistic and soft approach to a centerpiece. I choose some of my favorite natural branches, Olive branches. This to me was the perfect choice . The Olive branches are naturally gray green which works well with the gray color in the linen.
b.) Traditional Centerpiece: Dried Hydrangeas
Once again, think about your place setting as a whole centerpiece…but yet at the same time think about each piece, silverware, china, chargers, and etc… as being a centerpiece by itself. If you think of each piece somewhat as being a puzzle piece, then once you put it all together your final picture will truly be Ah-mazing!
I’m showcasing two different looks with this linen so you can see a take on a minimalistic modern approach and a more traditional approach.
China Selection: Premium Basketweave
Charger: Glass Beaded Charger with Gold Rim
Flatware: Brushed Gold Hammered
China: Basketweave Selection
Charger: Rattan Charger
Stemware: Water Goblet
Both work! It just depends on the style you gravitate towards. I wanted you to see that you can still choose a bold and modern print even though you tend to gravitate toward traditional, and it still works. The important thing in design is all about balance.
I know you all are wondering about the beautifully decorated Easter Eggs, and well…on tomorrow’s blog of “Trending Tuesday” I’ll be sharing some quick and easy tips for decorating these elegant eggs.

Hope each of you have an Egg-straordinary Easter!

Emily
