I love their love story and can relate on so many different levels, but the most important “Common denominator,” and I think April would agree with me, is our husband’s love for God that they both share.
April and Mack met a Noche, a restaurant in Vinings, Georgia. They had a great conversation and decided to keep in touch. Shortly after their meeting April had a huge change of plans…she decided to move to DC, well actually this was decided prior to meeting Mack, but she just made it official after meeting Mack..she wanted to make sure that “a guy” wasn’t going to just keep her where she wasn’t happy. So she upped and moved with her sister for a couple of months.
After Changing her entire plans, she realized God had a different plan in store. April’s sister got a job offer back in Atlanta at Emory. Needless to say, April took that as her sign from God telling her she needed to move back as well that He had other plans for her. Despite her stubbornness, she was faithful and moved back to Atlanta where her and Mack’s love only continued to grow stronger.
One of the first gifts that Mack purchased her was a right hand infinity ring (I think that’s why we initially bonded too! We have the same ring!) which was super special to her. April had purchased an infinity necklace long before she had ever met Mack. Her infinity necklace was to represent the infinite love God had for her. No matter what was going on or how stressed she was she would touch the necklace and find peace.
Mack thinks about everything! He decides to propose on January 8, 2014, since the number 8 represents infinity.
