Joanna is one of the most easy going people, yet brides I have ever worked with. When we were in the process of pre-planning wedding stages I asked her what specific flowers she wanted and what style. Joanna’s response, “Just surprise me, I know it will be beautiful.”
Yeah… Hearing this from a bride…not going to lie kinda freaked me out a bit. There are hundreds of color combinations, bouquet styles from modern to rustic, traditional to eclectic.
So what did I do, I prayed about it. We always believe God answers the smallest of prayers…but do we really put all of our trust in Him? ” Matthew 6:25-34 (“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes. Look at the birds in the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns and yet your heavenly father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can anyone of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?”)
The morning that I was supposed to place the order for Joanna’s flowers, I had this clear vision of what style of bouquet and what colors I needed to change it too. Shortly after I placed my weekly flower order, Joanna called to add additional flowers to her wedding as well as tell me that her fiance was going to wear a tinted lime green shirt. “A wanted to wale up inside…” once again it was confirmation for me that God truly cares about the smallest sparrow…that being me and creating the perfect flowers for Joanna’s special day!”
It was wedding day morning for Joanna & Corey at the beautiful Horse Stamp Inn located in Waverly, Georgia. I drove up the crepe myrtle and rustic fence lined driveway, ready to decorate the Inn. As a Wedding & Floral Designer, something that is always in the back of your mind is what will client think?
After completing the wedding decorations outside, I prepared myself to personally deliver Joanna’s flowers so I could see her initial reaction.
Joanna ended up meeting me downstairs to get a refill on her mimosa (a Wedding treat, provided on the morning of your wedding by the Horse Stamp Inn) and I presented to her, her wedding bouquet. I don’t think I have ever seen such Joy in a bride’s eyes! In all smiles she said, “It’s so perfect, in fact, you won’t guess what I have inscribed in my fiance’s wedding ring, Always & Forever, the same inscription I had gotten for her bouquet textile.
This girl knew how to Rock those cowboy boots…and you could totally tell Corey was “digging it!”It was such a blessing being part of your wedding day, Joanna & Corey!
Here is to there Happily Ever After,
xoxo
