December 1, 2016
Okay, so homes are downsizing…ya know all this talk about “tiny houses”…and I can’t say I blame them.
I mean cleaning for hours…is not my jam, and quite frankly, whose jam is it?!
Well, onto more important and exciting things, Christmas Decorations and yay….for December 1st and my favorite H O L I D A Y S E A S O N EVER!!!!
So happy December first, friends!
If you’re like me, your Main Christmas Tree is already up! I typically “throw” mine up the day after Thanksgiving! What about you? When do you typically put your’s up or cut it down…guess I just told on myself…yep I totally do artificial. I prefer a real one, but just having an “on the go life” it’s just not practical for our family.
But, I do continue to add decorations here and there to vignettes, and I definitely make sure all of my rooms have some kind of inviting Christmas Element.
What about tiny spaces?! Glad you asked. I’d like to share some of the Unconventional Christmas Tree Ideas we’ve come up with and how we use them during the holidays.
Flush Mount Wall Christmas Tree
This is perfect for a very small room, or office that you want to add a “Christmasy” flair to. You’ll need to Pick a combination of your favorite ornaments. I would recommend odd rows (odd always is more visually pleasing) and add your command strips. I wanted to go for a really clean + modern feel, but you could always hide the command strips by adding in bits of fresh greenery…I also didn’t want to scratch the walls (yikes) so I opted out of doing this.
2. Textured Tree Groupings:
I love adding textured Tree Groupings to little vignettes around my home, some of those vignettes include a cutting board in the kitchen, a little hallway nook and a breakfast tray I like to keep in my guest bedroom. These textured trees can be made by purchasing floral cones and adding gold tacks or moss, or you can purchase pre-made ones from our friends over at, Hope Farm Co.
3. Go Natural:
Branch Tree : If you love a more natural approach, just take a trip to the woods and pick some beautiful rustic branches, add them to your favorite large vase. The vase needs to be deep so the branches don’t fall out. Next, add your favorite ornaments. We choose on ours, a combination of guinea feathers, wooden ornaments, and regular Christmas ball ornaments for texture.
What’s your favorite?!
