Wedding Guest Book Alternatives
Okay, who wants a boring wedding guest book?! Not me, in fact I think I’ve opened mine twice since I’ve been married. Whoops.
Let’s talk about some of my favorites this year! My absolute, all time favorite, is this watercolor guestbook painting of your wedding day. It freezes a picture of your wedding in time and could be the first piece of artwork you hang in your new home together! Have your guests sign the back of your frame or canvas…and you’ll have a message to read forever.
I love this. In fact, I recently ran across that does an absolutely beautiful job with watercolor painting, you should totally check out her website, Elaine Burge
Another totally fun idea that any newly married couple would totally use is a Date jar. Have a pretty jar or vase that fits the design concept of your room, Have a stationer or printing company make custom date card paper to place by your date jar upon your guest arriving. Next your guest will just sign the paper and write an idea for the date. Your guest will then drop a date with their name signed to the bottom of it in the jar. After you and your hubby are married pull a piece of paper out and you have a date! How fun, this will instantly trigger memories for your wedding day.
I know for me and my hubby, we took turns planning dates! It was my idea, because I refused to plan every aspect of my life…hence me being a Wedding Planner, I figured the least we could do was swap off and it worked perfect!
Last, but not least, this puzzle piece. You could have a modern puzzle pop-art piece or a traditional puzzle. Have your guests sign each puzzle piece. On rainy days this is great to pull out and reminisce about your wedding and the fun memories you had!
You can purchase wedding puzzles by clicking here!
What are you incorporating as your guest book for your wedding or special event?! We’d love to know!
