Vintage Wedding in Alma Georgia
Liz Anne and Reed wanted a shabby chic, vintage, glam wedding. They are your quintessential Southern, yet classy couple enjoying high fashion, first class food and amazing music. The Maeford Manor, a beautiful Plantation set back on long and winding country roads in the small town of Alma, Georgia, a place I personally call my hometown. Roads lined with blueberry fields on one side, and cotton, what we like to call “Southern Snow” on the other.
Drawing inspiration from their family Vintage Collections, her future hubby’s love for music, and working on the blueberry farm, this Southern Wedding was dressed in beautiful shades of ivory, white and blush pinks, with added pops of cobalt blue, yellows and greens scattered throughout to tie in the look of the venue.
There love all started one night LizAnne first laid eyes on the lead singer & guitarist Reed. After falling in love, and a long courtship, years later came the second love of their life, their son, full of love, life and lots of energy, Ammons. Ammons seems to be following in his dad’s footsteps already, with a great singing voice, and his Black Converse shoes to solidify his “Rocker Style.”
Guest enjoyed several sweet treat & cocktail stations, featuring, of Course Blue berry Wine, which were Wedding favors. The blueberries from the blueberry wine were picked from the Groom’s Blueberry fields and their Uncle Steve made each wine batch & bottled it himself. We had gorgeous blue custom blueberry wine labels that coordinated with the wedding invitation. (Thank you for seeing my vision through, Sarah; a custom stationer out of Atlanta, Georgia. To add to the wine station, the guest had a choice of a full service wet bar with top shelf whisky, gin, and Beer, along with a self serve champagne station. To help entertain guest, there was a photo booth, Sitting and Cigar Lounge areas.
After the wedding, which was situated underneath a beautiful Oak tree that Liz Anne had been eyeing throughout the process of preparing the venue site, the guests dined under the stars in a large white tent. I’m not going to lie, I even felt like I was “Under the Big-Top”, with hanging vintage crystal adorned with chandeliers. Each guest table was decorated with a different shabby-chic or antique family heirloom. Some of the vintage decor was even borrowed from local family, friends, and/or purchased at Antique Shops around the area.
The night seemed to repeat itself just as the night that these two love birds met. Reed playing the guitar, love in the air, under the stars…This sweet family drove away in their vintage car to start the next Chapter of their Happily Ever After!
