Is it really February already? The season of love + indulging in the finest chocolate ever.
If exquisite chocolate is out there, I’m bound to find it. In fact, a dear friend of mine about 3 years ago, introduced my to Chocolat by Adam Turoni. She worked at this quaint little shop…tempting yes?! Lol, no thank you…I think I would look like that episode of I love Lucy’s stuffing chocolates everywhere just try and keep up.
Well, if you’re looking for the perfect Valentines gift for your special someone, or perhaps you are just in the lovely city of Savannah and you have some time to indulge, stop by Chocolate by Adam Turoni’s. Okay so, maybe you don’t even like chocolate (not really sure I believe this is even possible, although my cousin Dana swears she’s always hated it), go by at least for a little inspiration.
Speaking of Valentines day gifts…why not gift the monthly gift that keeps giving, Adam offers a Chocolate Book Club. It’s a unique book club that delivers a collection of specialty truffles right to your door every month.
My favorite chocolate would have to be from his Signature Collection. The Savannah Honey Chocolate Bar. It’s made up of 72% chocolate, a burst of honey explodes when you bite into it and it’s got the prettiest coating of real edible 24 karat gold dusting to the outside. My kind of food, it’s pretty and pretty tasty!
I loved the story, of how Adam started in his career as a Chocolatier. This started at the early age of 8, when he used to stay with his grandmother and they would bake through the late night hours. I felt like I could relate to him and his grandmother.
I love my sweet granny more than anything! I lived with her quite sometime after my Papa passed and if we weren’t staying up late at night talking after I drove in from Collage and working, we were up early in the mornings making and eating breakfast together.
My favorite thing about visiting though, is not just how inspired I get at the mere design concept and presentation of his chocolates, but how you get to shop for them. I didn’t want to take lots of pictures to spoil your trip, you just have to go…let me just say you get a little wooden tray with some silver tons, and behind each clear class is a piece of edible art.
