Squeezing a dollar out of a dime! Yes, we all try to do this on our wedding day. So why not Pull what I like to call a “Double Duty”. I like to find ways to save time, energy, and cash! Naturally, a good way to do this is to take a look at the “stuff” you’ll have at the reception and start thinking of ways you can incorporate your decor into place cards and party favors acting as decor!
Since Fall is around the corner, I selected some of my favorite ideas for pulling that “Double Duty.” I typically think of warm drinks, potted plants and rustic decor for this time of the year.
As Emerald Lagasse would say, “Spice it Up a Notch, Baby”! I thought this was such a cute idea. Especially for those families like mine, whose memories included growing up in the kitchen. A perfect way to incorporate a past time in your wedding. Plus, it’s super cute and adds to the tiny details of your Big Day!
Bar-b-que Spice Bottles, with wedding date lables & seating numbers |
A lovely way to do this is to use your wedding favors, (useful, locally made, appreciated items, no doubt) as the way to convey to your guests their seating arrangements. Or using your party favors as part of the decor on the guest tables. Favor tags and place cards absolutely can be the same thing! Ask your stationer about this and you may even find that favor tags are slightly less expensive than your place cards as far as the construction goes, so there’s opportunity to save in more ways than one!

Elegant Seedlings in Champagne Flutes |
These Tree Seedlings are a great way to add a nice touch of Rustic Decor. Throw them in an elegant champagne flute, or white teacup, whatever suites your overall decor. Like my daddy always said, “Nothing like killing two birds with one Stone.”
As always, thanks for visiting!
Smiles,
Emily
