Okay, sooooo we’ve already established I love everything about Mexican food, right?! Well, if you didn’t know that, my middle name should be Fish Tacos (YUMMMMMM) j/k.
I’d been hearing about these amazing Mexican donuts called Churros, and wanted an excuse to eat them (just kidding, I’m not there yet dealing with my Autoimmune struggle!) But one day!
No but seriously, I love creating and styling fun new concepts for the Brides or “Bride’s to be or people who are just interested in throwing a super fun and cohesive par-tay!
My Concept: Monochromatic Modern Cinco De Mayo
Colors: Green, Brown, Gold, Black and White
The Story Line:
Adriana (aka, Elle Smith) and her fiance, Pedro, wanted to share with their guests their favorite pastime dessert from Mexico, Churros!
You may be asking, what the heck are Churros?! Well, they are like American donuts but 1,000 times better. How do I know?!
Okay sooooo, maybe I tore a tiny piece off and tried it (and then realized after my blood sugar bottomed out, that although it tasted AHHHH – MAZING, perhaps it really wasn’t a good idea. ;(
But, anyhow…the Engagement party starts off with a Churro and Horchata Bar (mexican milk beverage), and follows by their traditional Mexican family style meal around one table. Lola, Pedro’s,
mother gives Adriana a beautiful Vintage Gown for her to have her first dance with Pedro, which will take place under the stars tonight!
Our DIY Planter Pots:
What’ll you’ll need:
Directions:
Spray Paint your clay pots your desired color. Let them dry completely. Next, decide on your placement for a stencil! (I use the peel + stick) stencils.
Peel + Stick your desired stencil to your pot. Hold the stencil with one hand, and lightly sponge paint with your right hand with the desired color.
Hint: I even started spraying gold paint on my sponge paint brush so I could give my designs a gold patina look!
Last, but not least!!!!!! My sweet and talented friend, Jessica from Lavenderbee “The Macrame Artist” that did these beautiful Macrame Wall art and Macrame necklace, is offering a 15 % DISCOUNT if you. Just use my code: EBD15 on her site to get your discount!
I know we were just “Taco ‘n about a Churro bar, but I’m about to be talking about fish tacos and for them to get in my mouth! LOL! Happy Cinco De Mayo!
I hope this inspired you to have fun when designing your next party or event!
xo,
Emily
