Modern Twist on Unity Candles
Although our wedding incorporated alot of Modern twist, I am still a traditional girl at heart especially when it comes to my family, and the Unity Candle. So, yes my hubby and I preferred the “Old Fashion” 1 Piller candle on each side for our Mother’s to hold and the Larger Pillar Candle in the Center for us to light.
Planting a Tree!
Planting a tree, like in the photo above, in a beautiful vase together. After the ceremony is over and you get home you can take this plant out and replant it in the ground to watch your love grow over the years!
Tying The Knot, Literally!
Tying a Unity Knot together with beautiful ribbon and keeping this as a memento!

Love the tree idea for unity! Watching the tree grow year after year representing hopefully the fruits of the spirit within your marriage. One day maybe pushing your children in and old tire swing as you giggle together and talk about the day or swinging from and old wooden swing holding your dear ones hand as you grow old together, reflecting on your lives as husband and wife and family.
