From Colors to Textures there are so many different varieties and styles of flowers. I have paired traditional flowers, such as the daisy and hydrangea with a nontraditional flower, the Star of the Show, “No Pun Intended,” the Star of Bethlehem. Together this combination creates a perfect balance! The Star of Bethlehem (Ornithogalum umbellatum) which is part of the Lily family (Liliaceae) does bloom, however I prefer the bud in this arrangement. There are many different shades found in the Star of Bethlehem, this depends on the region it is grown.
This bouquet is so exciting to me because of the various textures, but still playing off of the same monochromatic hues, creams & greens!
This bouquet features: Stars of Bethlehem, Hydrangeaus, Queen Annes Lace, and Daisys. |
