In case you missed it, I spent half the day in the life of Audrey Hepburn, and my handsome hubby, as Shia LeBeouf (he was orginally supposed to be James Bond, until he found my clip in bangs and wanted to re-create Shia’s current look, which was totally fine since the bangs didn’t work on me! Oh well, boys will be boys right?!
I couldn’t have been more honored to receive a special invitation to attend such a wonderful event for a great cause. This event made my entire year. You always hear bout how Susan G. Komen helps people, but to understand the depths of it, was more than that, and exactly what I had the opportunity doing this past weekend!
You may ask, what was it. Well, Susan G. Komen of Great Atlanta, hosted a Bubbles and Bling Hollywood themed Cocktail party where you had the opportunity to bid on different products and prizes. Some of the items that were going to bid were 20 bottles of wine, which ended of going for bid for over $2000.00 and an exclusive vacation.
I felt so proud to be at an event that raised forty-thousand dollars in a matter of a couple of hours.

{ A special thanks to Joseph A. Banks for my husband’s custom Vera Wang Suit and Rent the Runway for this gorgeous fitted black number! }
Can I just say, I felt 16 again?! I was a little hesitate on jumping in the bubbles with a dress on (ya know it’s really against my southern upbringing) but I said what the heck, you only live once, right?! It was the most liberating thing and quite enjoyable, in fact so enjoyable I had to do it again! LOL!!!
The Bubbles & Bling Hollywood cocktail party is an event that raises money to help support services required by women whom are diagnosed with cancer.
The Bubbles and Bling event included movie-inspired food, silent and live auctions, a bubble jump (as seen in pictures above) full bar and after party with dessert that would make your mouth water and a hip DJ for sure!
I’ll have to say, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I was blown away and moved by the stores of several women that shared their testimony, to include Catie Stone. Catie Stone is a cancer survivor, to see her pictures of her when she was first diagnosed, holding her kids, and having the opportunity to meet her and dance along side her on the dance floor was not just inspiring, but shook a nerve in me. I think we are all guilty to complain about our day not just going right, but what about bigger things like this, until you have your health you don’t have anything. Catie, I just want you to know thanks for sharing your story, remaining strong, and being an inspiration to all of us out there. You are a fighter!
