Tis the season for everything chocolate, right?! And apparently tis the season to get the virus, flu and everything that comes with the changes of the weather…and that’s exactly what we’ve had around here. If you’re piled up at home, nothings better than being cozy warm on the outside and on the inside.
I fell in love with this Raw Hot Chocolate recipe a year ago that my sweet girlfriend shared with me when I was having all of my autoimmune problems…We were on our way to Big Canoe for the weekend, we like to stop in our old stopping grounds the pretty little city of Monroe, Georgia to spend the night. It’s the perfect little “in-between spot” to break up the long drive.
I was craving something sweet and she whipped up this yummy Hot Chocolate Recipe. It was so yummy and creamy, I seriously couldn’t even tell the difference. I knew it was a keeper. Plus it having great nutritional value with low sugar, I can drink this without any guilt.
I’ve had this drink on repeat the last two weeks, since we’re just now having a continuous cold streak along the East Coast.
And if you need an excuse to drink this warm chocolately drink, here’s a couple!
As if I needed reasons to love it, the taste alone is good enough for me and oh, the fact that it comes from a plant that technically makes it a salad, right?!
What’s your favorite warm winter drink?!

Emily
